Crispin Etherington

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Crispin has a background of over thirty-five years in real estate development in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Following the development of Residence Hall, the student housing facility in Washington D.C. for Boston University, the last ten years have been spent in the provision of student housing to universities operating internship programs in Washington D.C. and San Francisco.

He received his B.Sc. in Real Estate Management from Liverpool John Moores University and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor becoming a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is Chairman of the Annapolis Trust, a non-profit that provides financial support to “first in family” students pursuing post-secondary education as well as a teacher in the Anne Arundel Public School System, Maryland.

Eugene J. Alpert Ph.D.

Co-founder and Chief Education Officer

Dr. Alpert is a noted expert on experiential education, starting in the late 70’s when he first directed the Washington internship program of Texas Christian University as a political science professor. He has been active in a number of professional associations, including president of the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE), an alternate director of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS), where he was instrumental in writing the first standards for internship programs, as a member of the assessment and evaluation committee of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), and a member of the steering committee of the International Consortium for Experiential Learning (ICEL) and the Washington Program Consortium.

He received his B.A. degree from the University of Rochester and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Michigan State University, all in the field of political science.

Tim Namie

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Tim’s career spans 20 years in Project/Product Management, People/Culture/Talent management, Marketing, Sales, and Start-up Advisory. He has experience with both large and small companies, from Managing Director at a Fortune 500 company, VP at a mid-size tech consulting firm and Founder/Co-Founder of three tech companies. Projects ranging from custom software builds, to Fintech/robo-advisory, HIPAA compliant software built in the cloud, to booking engines – his eclectic background combined with his natural visionary attributes, authentic empathy for the user and passion to articulate and evangelize meaningful products have helped him blend art and science to solve technical and people problems at their intersection.

Jane F. Flynn

VP of Operations

Jane has over 25 years’ experience as a senior executive in residential property management and property development throughout the north east of the United States. This experience has included multi-family, corporate and student housing.

An acknowledged author of several manuals on property management, she has also established the criteria which must be met by non-institutional housing providers in meeting the demands of universities that who partake in global studies programs.

She attended Towson State University as a Health and Physical Education, Scholarship Athlete. She is a Certified Property Manager (I.R.E.M.) a member of the National Center for Housing and National Assoc. of Realtors.

Michael Phox

Director of Product Development

Michael is a passionate and committed software developer with several years of experience in designing and implementing technically complex software applications using a variety of technologies and languages. He has developed software across several different industries that include e-commerce, automated investing, medical record keeping, and projects for the Department of Defense. His communication skills allow him to effectively collaborate with all the different members in a given organization regardless of their level of technical experience. He has demonstrated the ability to lead a team of software developers and designers to build robust and efficient software and to deliver demonstrations and presentations that highlight and accentuate the value that his projects bring to prospective partners.

He received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Aaron Suarez

Director of User Interface.

Aaron is a software developer that loves leveraging user interface and user experience design to create simple, effective web solutions. He previously worked as a Senior Software Associate for Capital One focusing on their web portal and improving credit card fraud detection. He is a certified Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect and has been recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for his academic achievements and working with Project Lead the Way–a national nonprofit organization that develops STEM curriculum for K-12 students and teachers.

He received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jackie Dee

Director of Marketing

Jackie brings cross-functional expertise in marketing, product management, tradeshows, marketing communications, website development, digital marketing, social media, content marketing and corporate sales. Jackie’s expert guidance, insight and creative services have been the driver behind the success of many organizations, including educational institutions, non-profits. government agencies and corporations.

She attended York College of Pennsylvania, York, PA where she studied graphic design.

Reginald L. Broddie

Director of Strategic Alliances & Partnership

Reggie has a 40 year career as a strategic and innovative leader in the non-profit sector. For nearly 25 years he was the CEO of the Annapolis & Anne Arundel  County Boys & Girls Clubs influencing and educating thousands of young people.  Co-founder of the Annapolis Trust, since 2000 he has spearheaded the move to provide “first in family” students with scholarships to pursue college and trade schools.  He has served in consulting roles to the Governor of Maryland Executive’s office, the Governor’s Commission on Youth, the U.S. Department of Justice; Office of Juvenile Justice and the U.S. State Department.

 He received his BSc. from Bowie State University in Social Work

Richard Ashworth FRICS

Senior Managing Director UK

Richard has a background of over 50 years’ experience in residential and commercial real estate development in the United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium and Germany.  He started in the retail department of Hillier Parker May & Rowden, moved to work in Amsterdam for five years before returning to the UK to re-join the Business Space department at Hillier Parker. For the last 30 years he has specialized in big box retailing instructed by companies such as Sainsburys, John Lewis Partnership and Decathlon, but more latterly in residential and logistics development. 

He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1969 and became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1973.   He was appointed an Independent Expert in 1995 by that Institution and an Arbitrator in 1996 and has completed over 100 Awards since that time.

Sean Roberts

Digital Marketing Associate

Sean is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from Bowie State University. Sean was a member of Public Relations Student Society Association (PRSSA), American Marketing Association (AMA), and currently serves as President of Data & Cloud Computing Society (DCCS). He took the initiative to immerse himself in the Marketing industry by taking online courses from Tai Lopez and taking internship roles related to digital marketing and social media at a variety of organizations and companies, including Concerned Black Men of America, 2U, and West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors.  

He has participated in various programs and activities to accelerate his professional development, such as a 4-month study abroad program at Heilongjiang University in China, U.S Chamber of Commerce Next-Gen Scholars Program, 2019 Forbes Under 30 Scholar recipient, and 2020 Osgood Center – Continuity and Change in American Leadership program.
